CIREBON ELECTRIC POWER660 MW coal-fired power plant in West Java
Cirebon Electric Power (CEP) was established in April 2007, under a consortium of leading international energy players in Asia, including Indika Energy which owns a 20% interest. CEP owns and operates a 660 MW coal-fired power plant in Cirebon, West Java, which utilizes supercritical technology, including a tangentially fired boiler with LO-NOx Burners. This technology improves cycle efficiency, reducing coal consumption and air pollution despite the use of low calorific coal. This has enabled CEP to keep the emissions of Nitrous Oxides (NOx) significantly lower than the thresholds set by the Indonesian government.
