A gold mining investment company

Nusantara Resources Limited (Nusantara) owns a 7th-generation Contract of Work (CoW) signed with the Government of Indonesia in 1998 for the Awak Mas gold project in Sulawesi. The CoW covers an area of 14,390 hectares and is held by Nusantara’s wholly% owned local subsidiary, PT Masmindo Dwi Area, and is valid through 2050.

The Awak Mas gold project has potential resources of 2.35 million onz and potential reserves of 1.53 million onz. Indika Energy’s total direct and indirect ownership in Nusantara amounts to 27.8%.

In 2021 Indika Energy launched a joint venture with Fourth Partner Energy (4PEL), a leading Indian solar developer. The joint venture, PT Empat Mitra Indika Tenaga Surya (EMITS), will provides a one-stop-shop, renewable energy solutions platform for Indonesia’s commercial and industrial sectors. Fourth Partner Energy is majority owned by The Rise Fund, the world’s largest private markets social impact fund, with over US$ 5 billion in assets under management. The Rise Fund focuses on investments in private companies that have a measurable, positive social and environmental impact that generate competitive financial returns.

This diversification is part of Indika Energy’s efforts to improve efficiency and operational productivity in existing businesses. KGTE is a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of Indika Energy, and engages in terminal fuel storage. On 12 April 2018, Kariangau signed a storage facility service agreement with PT ExxonMobil Lubricants Indonesia. (ExxonMobil). Under the terms of the agreement Kariangau will build, own and operate a terminal to store and deliver fuel products and associated services in East Kalimantan with 96 million liters of storage capacity, for the exclusive use of ExxonMobil. The contract is valid for 20 years, with an option for a 10-year extension and estimated project cost of US$115 million. Since November 2020, the fuel storage terminal has been commercially operated.

Carrying out a mission to be Indonesia’s nature-based solutions company with well-established principles of production and environmental conservation, IMP sets its ecological footprint by managing more than 160,000 hectares of Natural Production Forest concession and Industrial Tree Plantation concession across the nation, which improves sustainability and embraces nature conservation norms to produce renewable resources to consumers.
